Educational practices can have unexpected and transformative implications. Telling the stories of their evolution becomes essential in contexts and times of excessive individualism, sadness, and violence. This paper tells a story that emerged and developed during a seminar entitled Relationships between Institutions and Social Sectors[i]. Based on the notion of care as the construction of a shared world, it examines several events involving diverse actors and organizations and demonstrates how encounters, connections, and a willingness to accompany one another can shake up inertia, empower processes of change, and broaden the cartographies of specific lives.
