During the COVID-19 pandemic and social isolation health measures, different instances of schooling were affected, in particular, in those contexts crossed by inequality. From our concern about the situation of indigenous peoples and Intercultural Bilingual Education (EIB), between 2020 and 2021, we participated in meetings with leaders in the area, which took place in two talks entitled “Indigenous peoples and education. Intercultural training experiences in times of pandemic”.Their objective was based on sharing work experiences from the perspective of different subjects, such as teachers, directors, intercultural teachers, students and ministerial referents, who contributed their views on the community claims of indigenous peoples, the challenges of educating within the framework of this modality and the complexities involved in the implementation of public policies. All these dimensions are crossed by a context of coloniality, racism and inequality that manifests itself in various daily situations.
