The aim of this article is to study the importance of respect in the workplace for university students who work in jobs where they deal with people. Traditionally, two types of respect have been identified in the workplace: between coworkers and between bosses and workers. Our proposal includes respect from the people who serve the workers as a third axis of study. This is a quantitative research study with a sample of 200 university students from a national university located in Greater Buenos Aires. Our work shows an initial association, in the responses between the respect shown to their bosses, their coworkers, and the people they deal with, in relation to their overall level of life satisfaction.
