Abstract

Urban mobility as a whole is one of the central elements that define the dynamics of urban development. It is decisive both for the economic productivity of cities and for the quality of life of those who inhabit them. In this sense, managing the transport system properly becomes a scientific discipline, since, using new technology and the management of big data, management models can be built, thus adapting the transport system, which is analyzed according to through the study of management indicators and evolution trends, which allows enriching the discussion around the generation of public policies, and the improvement of regulations to meet the needs of the population based on statistical and technical data. The SUBE system (Unique Electronic Ticket System), implemented in the city of Paraná-Entre Ríos-Argentina, is an important generator of data, this study seeks to build indicators that allow measuring the performance of the public transport management system of passengers, of the Metropolitan area of the City. The indicators allow obtaining and evaluating evolution indices and trends, an evaluation of the service will be carried out, and tools for urban mobility planning can also be provided. On the other hand, the novelty of this work, since Paraná is an intermediate city, its population is close to 300 thousand inhabitants, it points to models of city indicators that comply with the population characteristics, in this way to manage the planning of the territory having as a central axis the public passenger transport.
